Our children’s inability to respond effectively under pressure has resulted in hostile school environments. This is a complex problem. The Rainbow Play Program is not a quick fix solution. It is a process to invoke change. Rainbow Play is an innovative approach incorporating techniques that teaches children how to connect with themselves and others. Rainbow Play goes beyond verbal communication skills enabling children to utilize other forms of expression. It combines a unique blend of methods, which foster a child’s capacity to cultivate character traits such as personal awareness, confidence, empowerment, empathy, compassion, respect, and cooperation. Children ill realize that when faced with a difficult situation they can draw on internal strengths to respond appropriately rather than react blindly. Thus, leading to a decrease in aggressive behavior.

"The Rainbow Play Program has provided my students with knowledge and experience that enables them to manage their thoughts and feelings with greater independence. The changes are subtle but I can see how it teaches children how they can gain control, be less impulsive, and express themselves more appropriately. These are skills from which they will benefit though out their lives and they had fun, too!"
